About Bryant
Engineer by training, analyst by trade, teacher at heart. Bryant started his teaching career in high school at the local Kumon and Tutoring Club in Fountain Valley, CA. He went on to coach hundreds of students for the SAT/ACT while also teaching math and physics as his passion. Upon graduating Cum Laude from UC Irvine with a Chemical Engineering degree, Bryant spent time in industry as an Environmental Engineer before transitioning into data analytics.
As owner, Bryant developed BVU EDU’s test prep curriculum and strategies, continually refining them to help students achieve their best results. Known for his easygoing style and unwavering support, he is motivated by his students’ success. He loves to golf.

About Brent
Brent discovered his passion for teaching as a piano instructor, where he saw firsthand the joy of helping students grow through learning. That early experience inspired him to pursue a career in education, earning a degree in Education Sciences at UC Irvine, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching and teaching credential through UC Irvine’s School of Education. Over the years, he has taught across a wide range of grade levels and subjects, from elementary to high school honors courses.
When the pandemic forced a shift away from traditional learning, Brent also transitioned to private tutoring where he saw the value of one-on-one instruction and the measurable impact it had on student success. Since then, he has worked privately with students and expanded his repertoire to include SAT/ACT test prep. This blend of classroom and tutoring experience has given him a unique perspective on meeting students where they are, helping them gain confidence, and supporting their goals both inside and outside of school.

About Ruth
Ruth is a veteran software engineer, who graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon with a dual major in Mathematics and Computer Science. As a Staff Software Engineer at Google, she embraced the challenges of planet-scale architecture, working on distributed systems for data analytics for over a decade. She has also worked in game development and semiconductor design.
Ruth has enjoyed teaching and mentoring throughout her career. Whether working with students or solving tough computational problems, she has honed her ability to ask the right questions and adapt her approach. She welcomes students with learning differences, busy schedules, or anything holding them back from enjoying their classes and achieving their goals.
Outside of work, Ruth raises an ADHD-Autistic son who shares her passion for math and science. Meeting his requests for extra math lessons at home has deepened her appreciation for the diverse ways in which people learn. She has also served her community as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, and volunteered on the board of directors for a nonprofit.
